3003 Aluminum Disc: Aluminum-Manganese Alloy Benchmark, Perfect Balance of Strength & Corrosion Resistance
SJWSUS specializes in producing 3003 aluminum discs. As a representative product of the 3000 series aluminum-manganese alloy, it combines the easy processability of pure aluminum with the high strength and corrosion resistance of alloys, making it the preferred “multi-scenario adaptable” material in industrial fields. We provide stable production capacity, precise alloy ratios, and competitive prices to serve global customers in chemical, construction, transportation, and other industries.
What is 3003 Aluminum Disc?
3003 aluminum discs are based on aluminum-manganese alloy (aluminum content approx. 97%, manganese content 1.0-1.5%), manufactured through precision stamping or shearing, belonging to non-heat-treatable strengthened alloys. By adding manganese, its strength is increased by more than 40% compared to pure aluminum (1000 series), while retaining good formability and weldability. Its corrosion resistance (especially against seawater and atmospheric corrosion) is significantly better than pure aluminum, making it a model of balanced “strength-processability-corrosion resistance”.
Core Features
- Distinct Alloy Advantages: Aluminum-manganese composite formula, with aluminum content ≈97% and manganese 1.0-1.5%, no other heavy metal additions, and environmentally friendly materials.
- Medium Strength Upgrade: Tensile strength 120-160MPa, 1.5 times that of 1050 aluminum, featuring strong structural stability after forming and resistance to deformation.
- Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Manganese optimizes the oxide film structure, offering outstanding resistance to seawater, mild acid-base corrosion, suitable for outdoor and chemical environments.
- Good Processability: Elongation ≥20%, compatible with stamping, bending, spinning, welding, and other processes, suitable for medium-complexity parts.
- Outstanding Cost-Effectiveness: Higher strength than pure aluminum and lower price than high-alloy aluminum, making it an economical choice for industrial mass production scenarios.
Typical Applications
- Chemical Industry: Chemical storage tanks, acid-base solution transport tanks, and pipeline fittings (strong corrosion resistance, suitable for chemical media).
- Construction & Outdoor: Outdoor curtain wall panels, sunshade skeletons, and advertising light boxes (good weather resistance and excellent strength support).
- Transportation Equipment: Automobile fuel tanks, marine accessories, and container liners (corrosion resistance to seawater/oil, lightweight).
- Heat Dissipation & Structural Parts: High-power heat sinks, motor end caps, and mechanical housings (balanced strength and thermal conductivity).
- General Industry: Hardware stamping parts, medical device brackets, and furniture accessories (easy to process, cost-effective, and strong stability).
Advantages of Choosing SJWSUS
- Precise Alloy Ratio: Strict control of manganese content (1.0-1.5%) to ensure a balance between strength and processability, with high batch stability.
- Targeted Quality Control: Focus on testing corrosion resistance and strength indicators to meet the usage requirements of harsh scenarios such as outdoor and chemical environments.
- Large-Scale Production: Own alloy smelting and stamping production lines, sufficient capacity to support fast delivery of large-volume orders.
- Global Service Experience: Serving overseas customers in chemical, automotive, construction, and other industries, capable of providing product certifications that meet international standards.
